Previous Winners
Over the history of the event there have been a number of changes that are in many ways reflected in the list of previous winners. For example initially the event was only open to police cadets at first before later becoming open to regular officers. Later still new categories were introduced with a competition within the event for Ladies teams as well as mixed teams. The route itself has change over the years, each time having an effect on the predicted winning time. The current route is undoubtedly the longest and any team able to finish in less than 5 hours will truly have to demonstrate the event aims of fitness, teamwork and endurance. Through the years many forces have been represented, there are forces that return year after year and others where for one reason or another there has been little or no representation for some time. Surprisingly many of the forces that return year after year (often with great success) come from areas not renowned for mountainous terrain. Check previous Winners here.
